OneEnergy’s community solar projects in Howard County are participating in Maryland's newly opened community solar program.

Planned on privately-owned property in Howard County, these projects have the full support of the landowners and are designed to lower the cost of your monthly electric bill—while making clean energy accessible to everyone!

As lifelong farmers, my family has made a living growing crops. Now, we’re using a portion of our property to harvest a new crop: the sun. Baker Point Solar has provided us the opportunity to generate affordable energy for people that need it, and more property tax dollars for the schools that our grandkids attend. We could not be more excited to be a part of this solar project.

Everyone has a home. Our home just happens to be a farm in Cambridge, Maryland. This field hasn’t been the most productive on the farm so when this opportunity came along, it seemed a good answer for that piece of ground. Basically, we’re harvesting the sun. It’s still a field. Instead of corn and soybeans, we get kilowatts. It’s going to give us a steady income and reliable source of income that we can depend upon year after year that will help us continue to operate as a farm.
